US President Donald Trump has said that Iran has 10 days to reach a meaningful agreement with the United States, warning that further steps could be taken if no deal is achieved.
Trump made the statement during a meeting focused on peace and diplomacy, stressing that Washington prefers a diplomatic solution to the standoff over Iran’s nuclear programme, but is prepared to act if talks fail.
According to the report, indirect negotiations between the two sides are ongoing, but major disagreements remain, particularly over Iran’s uranium enrichment activities and its broader military capabilities.
At the same time, the United States has increased its military presence in the Middle East, a move widely seen as a signal of readiness should diplomacy break down. Iran, however, has reiterated that it will not give up what it describes as its legitimate nuclear rights.
Political analysts say the 10-day deadline could prove to be a critical turning point, determining whether the crisis moves toward a diplomatic breakthrough or further escalation in the region.
