The world football governing body, FIFA, has announced that all matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup are officially sold out.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino disclosed this while speaking on the unprecedented level of demand for tickets, noting that millions of fans applied for seats far exceeding the available capacity.
According to Infantino, the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, will feature a record 104 matches. He said every match has already been fully booked well ahead of the tournament’s kickoff.
However, the FIFA president explained that a limited number of tickets may still become available during the final sales phase or through FIFA’s officially approved resale platforms.
Infantino added that the overwhelming interest from fans worldwide reflects the historic scale of the 2026 World Cup, which is expected to be the largest and most attended edition in the competition’s history.
