President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is expected to pay a one-day official visit to Kebbi State to attend the Argungu International Fishing and Cultural Festival.
According to a statement from the Kebbi State Government, the President will commission several key projects executed by the state administration before proceeding to Argungu, where he will serve as the special guest of honour at the festival.
The Argungu Festival is regarded as one of Africa’s most celebrated cultural events, featuring the famous fishing competition alongside rich displays of local culture, music, dance, and traditional heritage. The festival attracts participants and visitors from across Nigeria and beyond.
Governor Nasir Idris said the President’s visit would boost tourism and promote Kebbi State’s cultural heritage, while also providing an opportunity to showcase the state’s developmental achievements.
He added that adequate security and logistics arrangements have been put in place to ensure the smooth and successful hosting of the President and other dignitaries during the festival.
