A fire outbreak has once again struck Singer Market along Ado Bayero Road in Kano, destroying multiple shops and causing heavy financial losses to traders.
Witnesses said thick smoke billowed from the Gidan Gilas (Gidan Mai) section of the market as flames rapidly spread, triggering panic among shop owners and residents who rushed to salvage their merchandise.
Emergency responders, including fire service officials, arrived at the scene to contain the blaze. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
No fatalities have been reported, but authorities are assessing the scale of destruction and have pledged a full investigation.
